Circular-tour ticket

What is the circular-tour ticket?

It is a travel card that gives the right to any passenger or to any group of maximum 6 persons to make a trip on a chosen route, on CFR’s network.

Validity

This travel card is valid for 2 months starting from the beginning of the travel (mentioned on the ticket) and gives the right to an unlimited number of stoppages with unlimited period in the framework of the term of validity, with the obligation of making at least 3 stoppages of minimum 24 hours.
This ticket can be used at a high quality train, other than the train for which the ticket was issued, but only after paying the tariff differences and the seats reservation tickets, for all passengers mentioned on the ticket.

Issuing

Circular-tour ticket is issued at the passengers’ written request sent to CFR’s travel agencies or authorized railway stations which issued travel cards in advance, with 24 hours before the departure day.

The request of issuing the ticket must include the following data:

Name and first name of the petitioner;
Residence;
Series and number of the identity card and the institution who delivered it;
Class and category of trains (commuter, accelerated, fast or intercity train);
The chosen route mentioned on the ticket;
Name and first name of the persons accompanying the ticket holder (maximum 5 persons), including the name of the children and their age;
The departure day.

When establishing the circuit, it is not allowed:

To be closed twice or several times on the initial railway station or the route;
To use other means of transport on the railway routes.

Visas

When beginning the journey, the ticket must have a visa from the booking office of the initial departure station, mentioned on the ticket or from the CFR’s travel agency. The ticket can be endorsed at another station from the route mentioned on the ticket, but without being refunded for the unused route.

Refund

The fares cashed for the circular-tour tickets can be refunded only in the case of:

Abandonment of a journey on the basis of the unused visa, applied before beginning the journey;
Partial use due to well-founded reasons (disease, accidents, etc) based on conclusive documents.

These refunds can only be granted by the Passengers Railway Transport Regional brasches or by SC VLC “CFR Voiaj” of the issuing undertaking, only on the basis of a written request and conclusive documents.
