About Us

The National Society of Railway Passenger Transport ‘C.F.R. Calatori’- S.A. located in Bucharest, on Dinicu Golescu blvd, sect.1, established by the Government Decision nr. 584/1998 modified and completed according to the regulations in the G.D. nr. 274/22.02.2001 and G.D. nr. 1199/2002 is a Romanian juridical person, initially with integral state capital, with a juridical form of commercial society on shares, and carries on its activities according to the National Society of Railway Passengers Transport.

The object of the National Society of Railway Passenger Transport activity is:

· To effectuate the public passenger railway transport of long distance in intern and international traffic;

· To effectuate the railway transport in regional and interregional traffic;

· To effectuate the transport in specialized wagons, military type, penitentiary and others;

· Metrology activity and transport by road;

· Other activities connected or adjacent to the public passengers railway transport, such as: industrial production, consultancy, intern and international tourism, performing services, transport based on other technologies that the railway one, publicity, issuance, printing and emission, commerce, any other activities based on contracts or conventions in the name of the third party, connected directly or indirectly with C.F.R. Calatori activity.

As consequence to the G.D. nr. 1199/2002 the object of C.F.R. Calatori activity is completed with the assurance of financial-comptable services, control managing, juridical, organize biddings, management of projects financed from internal or external credits, contracting and managing this credits for the society and also for Romanian or foreigners juridical persons, according to the law. CFR Calatori together with the National Company of Railway CFR S.A. maintains the realization of passenger’s railway traffic in conditions of safety, exercising its attributions according to the law.

CFR Călători is managed by the general assembly of shareholders, which decide over the economical policy and over its activities, according to the mandatory received from the shareholders.

CFR Călători is administrated by the administration board, composed of 11 members elected by the general assembly of the shareholders on a period of 4 years.

The executive board of CFR Călători is assured by the general director which is also the president of the administration council.

The CFR Calatori management is controlled according to the regulations into force.
