CFR Călători would like to inform that from June 17, 2010, the summer program has become operational and includes a total of 48 trains (24 Fast trains, 14 Accelerated trains and 10 Commuter trains) which will provide direct connection between major cities and Romanian seaside: BucureÅŸti, Arad, Craiova, TimiÅŸoara, Deva, ReÅŸita, BraÅŸov, Sibiu, Târgu MureÅŸ, Cluj Napoca, Oradea, Satu Mare, Baia Mare, Sighetu MarmaÅ£iei, IaÅŸi, Suceava, BotoÅŸani, GalaÅ£i, CălăraÅŸi, Buzău, Medgidia.

Trains to the Danube Delta

In addition to the seaside trains, two pairs of Accelerated trains will run to provide the connection to the Danube Delta in Tulcea, from June 19 to September 5, 2010. So, from Bucuresti Nord a train will leave in the morning at 5.18 and the second in the afternoon at 15.10, while from Tulcea, the trains will leave at 06.00 and 15.15.

Sleeping cars and berth cars

Also, from June 17 to September 26, 2010, CFR GEVARO will provide sleeping cars and berth cars in the composition of trains between Constanta / Mangalia and: Satu Mare, Sighetul  Marmatiei, Oradea, Cluj Napoca, Timisoara, Suceava Nord, Botosani and Arad.

Commercial offers providing transport discounts:

·        “Mini-group 2-5” is for those who travel in small groups (of 2-5 persons) and is valid all week days, except Fridays and Sundays, with discounts between 10% and 25%  

·       “VSD travel card” (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) valid on weekends, with discounts between 25 % and 60%

·       „round-trip ticket” with discount of 10%.

Facilities which passengers may enjoy:

·         advance purchase of up to 30 days, both at booking offices of the main stations in the country (including those on the seaside) and CFR travel agencies;

·         discounts between 5-13% when purchasing tickets in advance;

CFR Travel Agencies’ schedule on the seaside during the summer season:

The travel agencies on the seaside will be closed according to the output of the seasonal movement of trains after a program that will be communicated later.

To ensure a comfortable journey, CFR Călători recommends the passengers to reserve tickets in advance. They can be purchased at all railway stations and travel agencies, online or from authorized distributors (travel agents) in advance, for any routes and train ranks.
