5% Discount at the Automatic Ticket Vending Machines & Online

Beginning with the 9^th of May 2022, we grant a 5% DISCOUNT when buying full fare tickets in domestic traffic, via the following sale channels:

• ONLINE, by accessing the online sale application for domestic traffic, directly from the www.cfrcalatori.ro website, or by downloading the mobile application directly on the telephone.
• AUTOMATIC TICKET VENDING MACHINES from the stations.

How long in advance can I buy train tickets, using the “5% Discount” offer?

Should you choose to buy tickets online, from the website or from the mobile application, the tickets may buy until the train’s departure time.
Passengers opting to purchase train tickets from the automatic ticket vending machines in the stations should know that they may purchase them even up to 5 minutes before the train’s departure time.

How can I pay? By card.

At the automatic ticket vending machines, the card being used for payment must be inserted in the card reader, contactless payment not being available.

Important to know regarding the “5% Discount” offer!

• The discount applies to the transport tariff, while the tariff for the reservation ticket for the day, berth or sleeper coaches is paid in full. The offer shall NOT cumulate with other facilities or discounts offered by CFR Călători;
• This discount is granted for travelling on board Regio and Interregio trains, at the 1st and 2nd classes;
• The ticket sale application shall automatically display the best offer (the offer with the largest discount), depending on the selected travel data;
• When modifying the transport contract (advancing, postponing or interrupting the trip), as well as when requesting the reimbursement of the transport tariffs, the specific conditions for every sale channel shall apply, namely from online or from the CFR Călători automatic ticket vending machines;
• It is not mandatory to print the tickets pruchased ONLINE, as they may be shown on an electronic device (telephone, tablet) on board train, for the ticket inspection, or you may indicate the ticket’s ID and present an identity document;
• The offer is subject to terms and conditions, being applicable depending on the technical possibilities and the availability of the sale channels.
