As part of the actions carried out to increase the degree of digitization and accessibility, starting today, November 15, 2022, CFR Călători has implemented the xSell-mobile system at the level of all train staff. This enables the issuance of tickets, automatic seat reservations, ID scanning, online ticket validation and metropolitan titles through mobile devices.

Train staff is equipped with devices consisting of mobile devices equipped with NFC (for contactless card payment) and barcode / QR code scanning capabilities, as well as thermal printers for printing tickets.

Completion of the implementation of this solution allows the online sale of tickets for all CFR Călători trains in domestic traffic.

In addition, it ensures a faster and easier service for train passengers and the reduction of the time limit set for purchasing tickets online until the train departs from the boarding station.

The purchase of tickets online is possible from the website www.cfrcalatori.ro and through the mobile application “CFR Călători train timetable and online tickets” available in all application stores: Google Play, Apple AppStore and Huawei AppGallery.

CFR Călători recommends passengers to plan their journey in advance, to use all the trains available from the day’s schedule and to obtain their travel IDs in advance. Tickets can be purchased in advance using the following channels:

  • Online from www.cfrcalatori.ro;
  • From the mobile application “CFR Călători train timetable and online tickets”;
  • From ticket vending machines in train stations;
  • Directly from train station ticket offices and CFR Călători travel agencies;
  • From authorized distributors (travel agencies).
